The Elves and the Shoemaker, Fractured Fairy Tail #5

Once upon a time, there was a poor shoemaker and his wife


Even though he worked very hard, they were destitute


His wife came to him crying, “Look! We have no food left…whatever shall we do?”


The shoemaker had enough leather left to make one more pair of boots


It was their last chance to make money for their survival.
He carefully cut out the boots, but was too emotionally exhausted to finish them.


He went off to bed, leaving the boot makings out on the table, so he could start work on them in the morning


When he and his wife came downstairs the next morning, they stood in shocked amazement


There on the table was a beautifully made pair of boots.


The shoemaker picked the boots up to examine them


they were perfectly pieced and sewn, even better than he could do himself

This wonderful pair of boots quickly sold to a man who recognized their quality for even more than what the shoemaker usually got for a pair of boots

The shoemaker took the money and bought enough materials to make two pairs of footwear and left the shoe makings on the table.
The couple came downstairs in anticipation the next day, half expecting to see more finished shoes


They were not disappointed, there on the table were two pairs of excellent quality

The shoemaker bought more and more materials, and the nightly shoemaking continued


The couple became very curious as to how the shoes were being made, and decided one night to hide behind a curtain and watch


They watched in disbelief as two small, naked elves appeared and quickly got to work making shoes



The elves moved with lightning speed



They quickly were finished and left the table covered with shoes

The couple decided to do something to return the kindness of the elves


They made little outfits for them, and left them on the table instead of shoe materials


The elves saw the new clothing


and quickly tried it on


naked no longer!


The elves were stylin’ now!


They had only been making those damn shoes because they didn’t have any clothing and were hoping to earn some cash for some new threads


They hated that lazy couple who kept taking the cash they earned and buying materials for MORE work for them to do! They were going to report them for workers rights violations!

Now that they were pimpin’ da fashion


they each snagged a sweet pair of kicks


They were so outta that sweatshop and were going to start looking for some fine ladies


And the elves were chillaxin' happily ever after
